I'm thankful I don't have to carry loads of heavy stuff on my back up a steep dirt road.
I'm thankful I don't have to hover over nasty toilets and use a bucket from the sink to flush. I'm also thankful for this tiny little piece of plumbing called a P-trap that prevents nasty smells from floating back up from the sewer into my bathroom. I love you P-trap!
I'm thankful our cities don't have open urnials on the streets where the urine and feces don't ALWAYS make it in the toilet and sometimes drip down into the street.
I'm thankful for soda and beer and wine. But I'm also thankful that I don't always have to order a bottle of water wherever I go. That I can actually drink STRAIGHT FROM THE TAP!
I'm thankful that I got to go on an amazing trip where I got to see stuff like this. A real live African hut.
This year I'm thankful for a lot of little stuff. As I sleep in my comfortable, warm house where I don't wake up with fleas or bed bites, I realize that we have an amazing life here in the USA. I have a lot to be thankful for. Great family, fun friends, good health and a great life. So,
Happy Thanksgiving!

Nothing like visiting a third-world country to make you really thankful for everything we take for granted here.
